Mica Coburn is an independent film and media producer committed to telling authentic and nuanced stories. An alumna of Columbia University’s MFA program in Creative Producing, Coburn has cultivated a diverse portfolio that spans the world’s most prestigious stages including La Biennale di Venezia, SXSW, the Festival du Court Métrage de Clermont-Ferrand, New York Film Festival, AFI Fest, Outfest, Frameline, and more. Her work has garnered significant recognition and support, including grants from The Caucus Foundation, The David Ross Fetzer Foundation, and The Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

While her independent producing remains at the heart of her work, Coburn’s professional experience extends to major studios, where she has worked on slates of high-profile projects. After establishing herself in television with credits on The Politician (Netflix), Vida and Blindspotting (Starz), and Project Runway, she brought her expertise to Lucasfilm, contributing to titles such as Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Mandalorian, and Andor. Most recently, Coburn coordinated production at Sony Pictures, contributing to films including the adaptation of Kazuo Ishiguro’s Klara and the Sun helmed by Taika Waititi, Darren Aronofsky’s Caught Stealing, and Aaron Sorkin’s The Social Reckoning, starring Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White.

Through her work across both independent and studio productions, Coburn continues to champion compelling storytelling while maintaining her dedication to elevating underrepresented voices in the film industry.
